You run 20km. Your legs hurt for days after. Your spirit soars. Your resolve strengthens. Your excitement for the race grows.
Do not throw in the towel. Do not quit on yourself. Do not give up. Ever. Because one shitty run doesn’t define you. And neither does two.
You can’t measure your worth in distance or speed. Or numbers on the scale or by the meals that you eat. You are your determination, your passion, your perseverance.
It’s okay to feel bad. And be mad. And hate everything some days. But those days will pass. And always remember: it’s the good days that that make your life.
Whatever happens, however you feel, you are in control of your actions. Always.
Be kind to yourself. And get the f*ck up when you’re down. You deserve it, my friend. You are worth it.
